About Brunel University
The University's campus is situated in Uxbridge, on the western edge of London, and is the nearest university to London's Heathrow Airport. The University is close enough to the capital to sample the delights of one of the greatest cities in the world but far enough away to avoid the high costs noise and the sheer number of people. Brunel is one of the UK's most ambitious, forward-looking universities and has spent over £150 million on a 10 year investment program.

Brunel is a research-led institution and its courses focus on engineering, technology, education and social sciences including law and management, humanities, visual and performing arts, sport sciences, health and social studies.

The following departments and institutes have achieved high ratings in the UK Research Assessment Exercise: Business and Management, Biological Sciences, Brunel Institute of Bio-Engineering, Design Economics and Finance, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Human Sciences, Information Systems and Computing, Law, Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Politics, Systems Engineering, and the Wolfson Centre for Materials Processing.

After completing my undergraduate course in Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering at a reputed University in my home country, I had to choose an advanced course to meet my future career aspirations from many Universities around the U.K. and other countries. Considering various aspects of the available advanced courses such as, course duration, fee structure, location of the University, I perceived that Brunel University fitted the bill for my particular needs.
